      \n\t\t\t\t\t\tThe torc (from the Latin torqueo: to twist) is one of the most ancient forms of necklace emerging with the development of wire in the Bronze Age, c.1300BC. For the ancient Celts the torc was an object of huge significance. Gods were depicted in torcs, they were worn by men and women of high status and were part of a warrior\u2019s battledress. These torcs, handmade by the artist and decorated with pearls and semi precious gemstones are inspired both by Celtic wirework and by the opulent gem-encrusted jewellery of the renaissance, when stones were chosen for their symbolism as well as their beauty. \t\t\t\t\t\t<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
